# Certified Mail vs. First-Class Mail

## When to add Certified Mail, and what it costs.

**First-Class Mail** suits everyday statements, invoices and notices. Once it reaches USPS, delivery typically takes 3–5 days.

**Certified Mail** gives you proof of mailing and delivery tracking. Use it for anything you may need to prove was sent, such as legal notices, liens, disconnection notices or collection letters. You can add return receipt options and track delivery status from your Dashboard.

**How to add it:** choose Certified Mail in your job's mail options before you submit.

**Cost:** Certified Mail is billed per piece at your tier's rate for 10 Credits.
